Daisuke "DSK" Kojima is the well-known producer & guitarist of the
popular acoustic Japanese band Port of Notes. He also produced the world
club anthem, "AURORA", with Chari Chari as their unit AURORA ACOUSTIC.
At last, he has produced an album of his own organic sounding guitar
solos.
This album was used for the theme in the Car Danchi movies, a well-known
series about snowboarding. The artwork of his CD and photobook were
designed by the movie director of Car Danshi - the videographer and the
snowboarder Neil Hartmann.
The album comes with a photo book shot in collaboration with Neil.
You will love the organic guitar sounds which perfectly match winter season.

- How did you start your music career?
I started playing keyboard at age 2 or 3. I never played properly and just played as I felt. I also enjoyed singing a lot. When I was in junior high, I had a friend who used to live abroad. He had lots of music magazines and CDs that I had never seen or listened to. I was inspired by them and bought a guitar and started recording and using DTM to create my own music.
- What is the important thing for you when you make sounds?
When I am creating sounds, imaging, tenacity and especially the monitor environment are important. As long as the monitor environment is precise and has good balance, all I have to do is find the perfect sounds as I imagine. On the other hand, if the monitor environment is not good and unbalanced, the sounds will be completely different when you hear them in different environment. Sometimes, I make sounds unbalanced or twisted, but still there should be a standard. Also, the power of imagination is the source of everything. The tenacity and will power to make sounds as close to what I image is very important.
- Do you do everything in the creative process from writing songs, mixing, back chorus, and playing instruments? What is the hardest part for you?
It depends on the song. The hardest part for me is managing and controlling all elements. When I can't figure out the perfect sounds I have in my mind, I have to check the process and find out what is wrong. So, it takes a lot of time to solve the problems. However, since I do everything and solve the problems by myself, the result has always been unique. I find it very interesting and fun that I can add my flavor to the sounds.
- miu-clips sophisticated pop sounds are accepted by a variety of music fans. How do you want to deliver miu-clips sounds to your fans in the future?
I always think that I want to do my best to make great music for fans who are looking forward to it. I've always thought this way since I started to make music. The power of music may not be a huge part of people's lives, but I still believe that music can add a little bit happiness to their daily life and assist them to have wonderful lives.
- What is the theme of the new album "L.O.V.E."? How long did it take for you to make this album?
I believe that the most important thing in our lives is Love. Love is like a fantasy. There will be love if you believe. There will not if you don't. Love is also a bridge to connect people. I think that is very similar to music. If you are careful enough, you can find small loves in your daily life. That may be your friends, co-workers, or simple things you usually don't recognize. If someone loves you, you feel good and you can be kind to people. In people, love breeds love and hate breeds hate. I want to show my love with my music. That is my I named this album "L.O.V.E.". It took me about a year to make this album.

Michina and Tomo met at The Fête De La Musique Festival in France. They became a permanent duo after performing together in 2007. In February 2010, they released their first album "Premier Souffle" in Japan and it was promoted soon after with a national tour in Japan and France. One year later, Domo Records released this album on their label imprint, Daruma.

In the film Yuki & Nina (2009), eight-year-old French-Japanese girl Yuki receives news that her parents are divorcing and she will be returning to Japan with her mother. If Yuki grew to be a singer, she would be Michelle Michina of the duo Michina and Tomo. Their debut mini-album "premier soufflé" is a unique combination of piano-backed Japanese and French vocals accompanied with Tomohiro Maeda's bluesy guitar chords. Their soft sound is reminiscent of Japanese R&B powerhouse MISIA and Portuguese lounge singer Nicinha. The five tracks on the album switch back and forth between languages effortlessly, whether it's the passionate Mon Amour or the silly Mr. Fish. It's ideal driving music, especially when you're still waking up in the morning.

We are so thrilled to announce our new artist from Japan, Michina & Tomo!!
Michina & Tomo's long-awaited first mini album, "Premier Souffle" finally came out! Singer songwriter and pianist, Michelle Michina, is half Japanese and half French, and her voice creates very pure sound and full of originality into the music. Tomohiro Maeda (Tomo) has been participating actively as a guitarist in various music scenes in worldwide. This unit was formed in 2007 and has been performing mostly in Europe, however, now more closely reaching to Japan.
For lovers of Shibuya-kei music, albums by new hip-and-groovy artists are becoming harder and harder to find in modern Japan. Thankfully, Kaoru Ono is bringing this sound back into fashion. His debut album, Music Tranquilizer, reminds me so much of Capsule's "space station No. 9", that I expected Kaoru to be another cute apple-cheeked female with a bobbed haircut - not so!
Mr. Ono is not alone in his retro adventures; two members from Domo artist JABBERLOOP make cameos in tracks 4,7, and 8 wielding both the sax and the trumpet. There aren't really any lyrics on Music Tranquilizer until Suzuyo Miyamoto and Cho (from Pablo) kick up the tempo in track ten. It's a short album topping out at nine compositions (including the intro), so the three bonus remixes stretch it out to proper length.
This jazzy lounge album blends seamlessly into one unit of sound without silence between tracks, so it's absolutely ideal for setting ambiance at a little fête or event. It is ideal pool party material, so perhaps this is why the graphics of this album revolve around water. The external shots are big and blue, depicting children floating in a public pool. The album booklet has two-page spreads of young adults relaxing at Iceland's gorgeous geothermal spa Blue Lagoon. Even if you can't say it in Icelandic, Bláa lónið, you can still enjoy the cool beats of Music Tranquilizer. Now, where is my bottle of Wild Cherry Phosphate?

[BIOGRAPHY] Shohei started playing Jazz guitar at 18, and moved to UK to make his own music. Susu Records (UK) released compilation album including his song in 2005 and the song became popular in UK club scene. He has also played in numerous clubs as DJ in both Europe and Japan. In 2006, he signed with IRMA RECORDS in Italy and made huge impact world widely.
In 2010, collaborating with Nano Universe, one of popular Japanese apparel brand, he made3rd album titled "Sunshine of Love". This album has marked No. 1 Dance chart and No.58 Album chart on iTunes in Japan.
He also produced Christmas song for Charice whose album marked No. 8 Album chart for the first week of the release in the US which was the first-time achievement for Asian artists.
