Kitaro appeared in Kanagawa, Japan as a special guest for the Hitachi's Freshmen Workshop.
This workshop studies local forest environments by pruning trees (bamboo).
Kitaro and Freshmen made flutes using bamboo and play together.
喜多郎が13日、松田町寄の「やどりき水源林」を訪れ、間伐に参加した。
神奈川県の水源林パートナー制度に参加する日立電子サービスが同地で
行った新入社員研修の講師として招いた。
環境保護活動に取り組む喜多郎さんは新入社員に間伐の方法を教え、
「現在の環境を子どもや孫の世代に手渡していくことがわれわれの責任だ」
と呼び掛けた。
